GreenGo Energy and Goldwind forge strategic partnership with Memorandum of Understanding

GreenGo Energy, a key developer of green hydrogen projects in Africa, has entered into a strategic partnership with Goldwind, one of the world’s leading comprehensive renewable energy solution providers. The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on renewable energy projects in Africa, marking a significant milestone in GreenGo Energy’s mission to accelerate Africa’s green energy transition.

GreenGo Energy is developing a portfolio of large-scale green hydrogen projects – Megaton - that aim to harness Africa’s abundant renewable energy resources. These projects, among the largest of their kind on the continent, position GreenGo Energy as a major player in the region’s clean energy sector.

A partnership with global expertise

To support its ambitious initiatives, GreenGo Energy has partnered with Goldwind, a company renowned as a reliable global strategic partner in clean energy. Goldwind is set to play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive energy solutions for GreenGo's renewable energy projects.

Under this partnership, GreenGo Energy and Goldwind will work together on two key areas:

  1. Development of Green Hydrogen Projects: The collaboration will focus on GreenGo Energy’s portfolio of green hydrogen projects in Africa. These projects aim to leverage renewable energy sources, including wind, to drive sustainable hydrogen production at scale.

  2. Supply of Onshore Wind Turbines: Goldwind will provide cutting-edge onshore wind turbine technology to support GreenGo Energy’s renewable energy infrastructure needs. The partnership ensures GreenGo Energy has reliable access to world-class wind turbine equipment, vital for the timely execution of its large-scale projects.

A shared commitment to renewable energy growth

The partnership underscores the importance of aligning with industry leaders to achieve ambitious goals.

“This partnership marks an important step in GreenGo Energy’s journey to deliver impactful renewable energy projects in Africa,” said Karsten Nielsen, CEO of GreenGo Energy. “Goldwind’s scale and expertise make them an ideal partner for projects of this magnitude.
