GreenGo Energy celebrates the latest solar park fuelling the green transition

  • Newest solar park developed by GreenGo Energy opened in Odense Municipality

  • The park has a capacity of 32 MWp, which is equivalent to powering 11,000 homes

Højby solar park, near Odense, Denmark

GreenGo Energy, a key player in the renewable energy transition, is excited to witness yet another solar park opening for business in Denmark. This state-of-the-art solar park exemplifies the commitment of GreenGo Energy to help drive the green transition and contribute to a cleaner environment.

The solar park, strategically located near Odense (Denmark’s 3rd largest city), harnesses the power of the sun to generate clean and renewable electricity, further bolstering the integration of green energy sources into the local electricity grid. The project supports the climate goals and green transition strategy of Odense Municipality, and GreenGo Energy is proud to be part of this journey.

This solar park is the first to go live in a project portfolio partnership with Nordic Solar targeting 250MWp over the next 3-5 years. These projects are developed by GreenGo Energy in partnership with Nordic Solar with the portfolio investment of more than DKK 1 billion.

"At Nordic Solar, we are excited to open our new solar park in Højby, which will further the production of solar energy in Denmark. Throughout the entire project development and construction of the solar park, we have worked closely and effectively with GreenGo Energy. It is important, in a project like this, that there is focus on following the project plan closely, and we have successfully done so in the collaboration with GreenGo Energy. This has, among other things, led to a successful connection to the electricity grid according to plan. Højby solar park is built both with the newest technology in solar energy to optimize energy production, and with some of the latest initiatives in the promotion of biodiversity. Following a smooth development and construction phase, we are now looking forward to continuously monitor the effect of the various initiatives.” – Glenn Aagesen, COO of Nordic Solar.

“We are thrilled to witness the realization of this remarkable solar park, a testament to our unwavering commitment to a sustainable future. This achievement demonstrates the power of collaboration and innovation as we take strides towards a greener world, one renewable energy project at a time. We thank Nordic Solar for a close and efficient partnership and look forward to developing the next projects together”Karsten Nielsen, CEO of GreenGo Energy Group.
